RRH329M is a Federal Capri for the North American market built in Koln in November 1973. As such it was designated Mercury and could only be bought at Lincoln Dealerships, so as not to clash with the sales of Mustangs and Pintos. This car was in California until 1999 when it was imported to the UK. The car was repainted in Sunburst Red (it was previously Bronze) and a written off 3000E was used to donate RHD, Essex 3.0 and the rest of the running gear. Tim F has owned her since October 2003 and has fitted a rebuilt Essex, Recaro seats in black vinyl, RS four spokes, 2.8 front struts and removed the 5mph bumpers that weighed a ton! In regular weekly use - especially Sundays when she always draws a crowd.
