Unlike Castle Combe, this is an event where we can feel like the youngsters!  It attracts all Fords from the Model T up to the Capri Mk3.  Being staged on British Grand Prix Sunday maybe wasn’t a great idea – particularly as those from the south needed to travel past Silverstone – but a bigger hinderance was the weather.  This time it wasn’t because it was to cold or wet but because the temperature rose to around 30 degrees Celsius without a cloud in the sky and virtually no shade on the site.  Again quite a few members still ventured out.  Sadly I wasn’t one of them – being confined to home (although not through Covid 19!).
