Club Secretary Kevin has owned GPN since around 2003. Having previously only owned pre-facelift examples, he decided he wanted to sample what the facelift might have to offer and so sourced one in his original Mk1 colour combination of Daytona Yellow with a black vinyl roof. This is surely one of the archetypal colours for the Mk1. Unusually, the car has a tan interior. In 2018 it featured on the BBC early evening news and chat show, "The One Show". Five hours of filming for little over a minute of TV air time. A novel experience though, driving with a camera shoved in your face! The car features another icon of the late 60s / early 70s, a working Eight-Track Tape Player.
