Sean purchased his car in 2003 after reading an editorial in his Dad’s “Classic Car Weekly” paper.  The Ford Capri had the front and centre double page spread in the paper.  After reading about the car he was hooked and they set off for Bristol that weekend to view and subsequently purchase a Capri listed in that week’s classic weekly paper.

The car was originally registered at Bass Brewery in Burton-on-Trent before being sold a number of times in and around the Bristol area.  DFS has had many modifications throughout its life.  When Sean purchased the car it required a reasonable amount of work before its MOT and had been modified to run a 5 speed gearbox coupled with a 2.8 V6 engine.

He ran it for a couple of years until it needed to come off the road for a light restoration.  It stood for ten years before he finally had the money and time to give it the restoration it actually needed.

It is now running a Rover 4.0 V8, 390 CFM Holley carb with a 5 speed gearbox.  Four pot callipers on the front and disc brake conversion on the rear.
