Sunday 17th May saw the Club's latest tour embark on a scenic journey around the picturesque Cotswolds. This was the second time the Club has visited the Cotswolds for a tour. Members made a long weekend of it, taking in local attractions such as the Motor Museum in Bourton on the Water; the Cotswold Distillery; and the Classic Motor Hub before setting off on the tour itself from Mickleton near Chipping Campden. Elevenses were taken at the Batsford Arboretum & Garden Centre near Moreton-in-Marsh before the train of 11 Mk1s carried on to The Gate Hangs High pub in Hook Norton for lunch. By good fortune, despite weather predictions, it was only whilst lunch was taken that the clouds opened and rain came. Post lunch the cars made their way back to Mickleton for refreshments in a quaint local hostelry.
My thanks to Club member Karen for the superb moving shots.
