The first “capri” event of the year proved to be well attended by Mk1s. Blessed with a dry and relatively warm and sunny day, it felt like a lot of people were simply grateful to be able to get out in their cars and gather – albeit outdoors – with like minded enthusiasts. It was good to catch up with a number of Club members who’d decided to attend and, for me, a first opportunity to see Mark from the southwest and his remarkable Daytona yellow 1600XL (YFG525M). Not remarkable for its model but rather the way he has brought a car back from the dead. We featured the vehicle on the Club stand at the NEC Restoration Show a few years back and it’s hard to realise it’s the same car. Well done Mark!
Fourteen Mk1s on display in total and all pictured here for you to enjoy.
