XJT115M - 1600XL -
Special Order Vehicle
Simon had been contemplating buying a Capri Mk1 for some five years and had
been seriously looking for two when he came across this sebring red stunner at
the Enfield Pageant in May this year.
Simon, from Ashford in Middlesex, ideally wanted a pre-facelift car in amber
gold but was led astray by the two southern based club members he visited the
show with. The car has been restored but is in very "original" condition
with a mint tan cloth interior. The original bill of sale came with it
indicating that the suspension upgrade was requested from new. Sadly the
special order label it would have had on the top of the wing has long since
disappeared but the paperwork shows its pedigree. The car was registered
in 1974 making it one of the last Mk1s to hit the road.
