"I'd never thought of a Capri till a friend mentioned them as a desirable car, and that set me thinking. I'd certainly never promised myself one, but decided if the right model (Pre-facelift 3000E) came up at the right price, I'd buy one. Then I saw this car - just out of my budget, but I didn't let that stop me and bought it in May 2007.", says Sussex based Nigel.
"The previous owner had made some non-visible changes (uprated suspension, brakes, 5 speed), and had a boot load of spares that he let me have. I've made a few changes to make the car slightly more original (some trim/chrome work, more period wheels etc).
The highlights so far have to be the 40th events at Castle Combe and Brooklands - though I did enjoy having Mark Williams from the Fast Show applaud as I drove past him once ("This week I have been mostly clapping at cars") - and there are always plenty of people who come up and say I/my dad/my grandad used to have one of those."
