DHJ285K - 1300XL - the perfect original example
Neil, another Essex based owner, has a 1300XL in sapphire blue which arguably
is the best example of its type around. Three or four years back this car
was selected as the "Car of the Show" at the Classic Ford Day at Battlesbridge
in Essex. Those that have seen the car in the flesh would be hard pressed
to disagree with this judgement. For anybody who admires originality this
is a vehicle you'll want to see. No surprisingly, with a low mileage and
in such perfect condition, Neil doesn't take it to too many shows and rarely
ventures outside Essex. Battlesbridge in mid August is usually your best
bet if you'd like to see it for yourself.
