EMA423K -
3000E -
Originally intended for Manchester Police
Mike, from the Heathrow area of Middlesex, can best be described as a total
capri fanatic. His current collection of vehicles spans the range from Mk1
to Mk3.
Back in May though he was tempted by an ermine white 3000E model which had
been off the road for some time. The car was the last of six ordered by
the Greater Manchester Police back in 1972 but unlike its preceding five
sisters, it never made it into police service and was sold by a main dealer in
the area to a private buyer. I think this car can definitely be described
as female and from the registration plate it won't take you long to work out
that she's dubbed Emma. Having fallen for Emma, Mike picked
her up from her elderly lady owner in Stockport and drove her back to Middlesex
without a hitch. However, on her way to our Southern National at Knebworth
she shredded not one but two distributors! With ruby red interior she's
covered 110,000 miles from new and lets hope Mike can sort her out so that she
has many more miles ahead.
