EGO710J - 1600GT XLR auto - back on the show scene
Karen from southeast Hertfordshire has - through her work - been involved for
several years with the organisation of a classic car show in her area. So
it came as no surprise when, after meeting up with Eddie (daytona yellow 1600GT
XLR), she was bitten by the classic car bug and bought a car herself. And of
course it had to be a Mk1 capri.
This rare aquatic jade 1600GT XLR auto appeared at just the right time as she
particularly wanted an auto model. The car has been out of circulation for
some time but appeared at a CCI show early in the 2007 summer season and was
snapped up by a southern based owner he sold it on to Karen and now she's
looking forward to bringing this low mileage rarity up to top standard. In
truth not too much needs doing. A bit of body work around one wheel arch
and a bit of titivation under the bonnet should have it looking its best.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2011
Karen, with the help of husband Eddie, has steadily been restoring
her car over the last couple of years. Just look at the under bonnet
transformation compared to how the car looked when she took up ownership.
